Our Services
Today, Arihant dewatering Systems is one of the
largest dewatering contractors in India, built completely on service
oriented thinking. We offer the latest techniques, the highest quality of
dewatering equipment, a highly skilled staff and our experience in all
sectors of construction dewatering. Arihant dewatering Systems has developed
a reputation with contractors and engineers for handling even the most
difficult dewatering projects successfully, cost effectively and on
schedule.
Arihant dewatering Systems believes the key to successful dewatering is
reliable and personalized service. Great care is taken to satisfy the
contractor's specific needs, develop the proper system for the specific site
conditions and maintaining a reliable operation until the project is
complete.
Open Dewatering Systems
Open dewatering systems enable one to lower the
groundwater table adequately in cohesive and low permeable soils. Water is
pumped off directly from sumps (ditches) along the toes of the slopes of the
excavation works. The suction hose with strainer is merely placed in the
sump and the collected water is primed and discharged. This makes the open
dewatering system easy to install and simple to operate. The open dewatering
system utilizes selfpriming or vacuum assisted centrifugal pumps
Well-Point System
As shown in well point system consists of a number
of wellpoints spaced along a trench or around an excavation site, all
connected to a common header which is attached to one or more wellpoint
pupms. Wellpoint assemblies-made up of a wellpoint, screen, riser pipe, and
swing joint with tuning-are genrally installed by jetting. They provide for
entry of water into the system by creation of a partial vacuum. The water is
then pumped off through the header pipe. A wellpoint pump is a combination
of two pumps, one of which pumps water from the header and the other of
which is a vacuum pump to remove air which enters the system. Control of air
is important, as excessive air causes cavitation which reduces pump
efficiency.
Dewatering pumps are designed specifically for the dewatering function.
They are available in capacities from 50-200 ltrs per second. Wellpoint
systems are frequently the logical and economic choice for dewatering
construction sites where the required lowering of ground water level is on
the order of 15 feet or less. Greater lifts are possible by lowering the
water in two or more stages. The 15-foot lift restriction results from the
fact that the water islifted by difference between ambient air pressure and
the lowered pressure created by the pump.
